Agate is a mineral of the Quartz group. It is a fibrous banded chalcedony that is typically translucent. Agate comes in a variety of colors and has a Mohs hardness of 6.5 to 7. There are many types of Agates and their names are often based on their location, patterns, or colors.
Flower Agate is from Madagascar. It is an Agate with opaque Chalcedony flower-like inclusions. Metaphysically speaking, it is said that Agates tend to have a slow-pace type of energy and generally promote grounding, stability, harmony, and mental clarity.
