By the use of words she facilitates group activities that allow the individual the opportunity to explore their emotions through therapeutic writing.

Heal Through Words

Heal Through Words is a program that was created for the geriatric population in Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities in New Jersey.  This program provides a safe haven whereby the residents of a facility can express themselves through poetry, creative writing or autobiographical writing.  A facilitator runs the group setting so that the residents can express themselves in storytelling form.  This is a program that is provided in a group setting as well as one to one.

Heal Through Words is a very unique program because it combines the techniques from storytelling, reminiscing and journaling. In this program the client has the opportunity to explore different topics in their lives through writing. In an uninhibited, relaxed setting the individual can creatively explore his/her inner world. Using relaxation techniques, they can unlock their hidden creativity.

What is unique about this program? It was established for the unique purpose of just having fun!
