“Get Into Shape! Employee Training Techniques and Tips for Recreation Directors”

This fun and interactive session is designed to provide information that will assist recreation directors or supervisors in the development and provision of an on-going employee training and orientation program. Areas covered include: benefits and purpose of training, mandatory education, training suggestions, the development of training and orientation programs, and incorporating fun into the training process. All participants receive the Re-Creative Resources Inc. training game, "Recreation Jeopardy". Refreshments will be served.

Participants will be able to:

- Identify four benefits of employee training and orientation programs
- Identify at least three creative ways to provide training and orientation
- Name at least four mandatory education topics required in long-term care
- Name at least four activity-related in-service topics
