Seminar Description
Spring Booms: Growing Your Horticultural Therapy Program is designed to inform and educate healthcare professionals about Horticultural Therapy. This session emphasizes HT principals and techniques which may be utilized to implement or enhance an effective HT program that promotes quality of life and functional status of long-term care residents.  Focus will be on spring and summer techniques. Participants will engage in a fun, hands-on session and will get to keep their project!  Refreshments will be served.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:
• Define basic terminology and concepts related to Horticultural Therapy.
• Identify basic tools, resources, and skills needed to implement a successful horticultural therapy program.
• Learn three approaches to financing a therapeutic horticulture program to help achieve TR budget goals.
• Learn two horticultural therapy projects which can be adapted to different levels of abilities.
