"Management Mania:
Successful Management Strategies for the Activity Professional"
This
session is designed to provide a variety of management guidelines,
resources, tools, and tips for Activity Directors, Assistant
Directors, and individuals interested in advancing into an activity
management role, in a long-term care facility. Participants will receive
downloadable training materials and tools which can be altered to fit
the individual needs of each facility. Refreshments and lunch will
be served.

1) Identify management responsibilities of an Activity Director
2) Recognize various management strategies and techniques
3) Utilize tools to implement an orientation and training program for
Activity staff and Volunteers
4) Utilize tools to evaluate an Activity Program and Department
5) Identify ways to promote team-building and an interdisciplinary approach
to quality of life
