Facilitation Techniques: Theory and Practice in Long Term Care is designed
to inform and educate healthcare professionals of a variety of Recreation
and Activity techniques that may be utilized to enhance the quality
of life and functional status of LTC residents. Areas covered include,
but are not limited to: Validation, Reality Orientation, Remotivation,
Resocialization, Adapting Activities, Adapted Equipment, Spirituality,
Humor Therapy, Leisure Education, etc. as well as program leadership
guidelines. Refreshments will be served.
