Care Area Assessments: The Process and How it Applies to Activities is designed to provide an educational opportunity for Activity/Recreation Professionals and Creative Arts Therapists in long-term care facilities to learn and utilize the Care Area Assessment process with specific applications toward activities.

• State the Care Area Assessment (CAA) process.
• Identify the ways in which the Activity CAA will trigger.
• Describe how to document the activities component of the Care Area Assessments.

Note: This session includes 1.5 hours of live instructional time and a comprehension assignment worth .5 hrs
