Webinar Introduction and Overview
Introduction
Re-Creative Resources Inc. now offers education via the web. Webinars are a great way to learn and gain continuing education credits, while being able to interact with the instructor and other attendees. Many times and dates are scheduled to accommodate your busy schedule.
Who Should Attend
These webinars are designed for Activity Professionals and Recreation Therapists but many other health care professionals would benefit as well such as Creative Arts Therapists, Social Workers, Nurses, CNA’s, or other health-care workers.
Group Rates and Private Sessions
The more people that participate, the more you save. Groups rates start with six people. Re-Creative Resources Inc. will also provide private sessions for your facility or group. Learn more at http://www.recreativeresources.com/webinarsgroups.htm
How the Webinar Works
The webinar attendee has two audio options.
1) Simply call the phone number provided and you will be able to hear the instructor. Please note: the cost of the phone call will be charged to your phone bill by your telephone company.
OR
2) The attendee can hear the instructor if he/she has a sound card on their computer and has speakers attached to the computer. Basically, if you can hear music on your computer, you will be able to hear the instructor. If the attendee wishes to be able to speak, he/she will need to have a microphone connected to the computer as well. For those who chose this option for audio, but do not have a microphone, the attendee can still communicate via the chat room.
Please note: In most circumstances the attendees will be muted throughout the session to lessen background noises and distractions for all of those in attendance. For group sessions or other private sessions, the option for an open format is much more feasible.
In addition, the instructor’s powerpoint presentation is viewable on the attendees computer via the internet. The program is fully interactive via chat rooms and telephone conversation. Attendees are asked to keep their phones/microphones muted during the presentation to reduce noise, however, the phone line will remain open for 15 minutes after the presentation to allow for any additional questions.
For Those Who Don’t Have Access to the Internet or a Computer
Although it’s not recommended, you may be able to participate by joining on the teleconference aspect and following along with a printed copy of the presentation. You must inform the instructor at least 5 days before if you will NOT be joining online so that accommodations can be made. Please be sure to check first before registering to ensure that the webinar can be adapted to meet this special accommodation. In addition, you may be asked to view some videos on-line prior to the presentation so that you do not miss important elements of the presentation.
Continuing Education Hours
Each registrant will receive a certificate of attendance via email, within 24 hours of receipt of the session-post test and session evaluation.
Registration Deadline
“Seating” is limited so please register as soon as possible to ensure availability. The registration deadline for each session is 5 days prior to the scheduled date and time.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Criteria
Re-Creative Resources Inc. reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a webinar if there not enough registrants. Registrants will be given the opportunity to participate in another date and time or may opt for a full refund.
If an attendee needs to cancel or reschedule, he/she must notify Kim Grandal 7 days prior to the session for a full refund and 3 days before for a 50% refund. Cancellations after that will not be refunded.
Confirmation
You will receive confirmation of your registration within 72 hours of receipt of payment and registration. Please contact Kim Grandal if you do not receive a timely confirmation.
