Summer is Here!
The Summer Solstice occurs on the first day of Summer. This year it falls on Sunday, June 21st. It is the longest day of the year with more light than dark! Bring on the sun, barbecues, picnics, and those wonderful summer days!
There are many things you can do to welcome in Summer. For example:
- Get outside! It's a must. If you can't get outside, open the curtains, blinds and windows to let in those rays of sun.
- Enjoy summer foods such as ice cream, summer fruits, lemonade, etc.
- Watch a summer movie such as: Mamma Mia, Grease, Summertime, Little Miss Sunshine, A League of Their Own, etc.
- Summer crafts are always fun. Make sunflowers or suncatchers.
- Listen to some summer songs such Walking on Sunshine, Good Vibrations, Here Comes the Sun, etc.
- Shine bright and of course, let there be light! It's a great time to honor growth, abundance and light for it is a celebration of life and success. It feels so good to have the extra sunlight upon us!
